Show cars in the Formula 1 fan zone at the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai, put where the public can get near them. It is the part of a race weekend that reaches people who will never see the inside of a garage.
A fan zone car has a harder life than a launch car. It stands outdoors for three days, in whatever the weather does, with a queue in front of it from morning to evening, and it has to look as good on Sunday afternoon as it did when the gates opened on Friday.
