Tom Aspinall made his UFC debut all the way back in 2020, when he took on Jake Collier. This was Aspinall’s first fight, and he made a name for himself as he took the performance of the night bonus, for his win over the American. Since joining the premier MMA promotion, Aspinall has fought eight times and has taken six performance of the night bonus’. The only loss that Aspinall has taken in UFC was a TKO – where he had to withdraw from the fight after ripping every tendon in his own knee from kicking his opponent too hard.
It was UFC 295 that Aspinall faced off with Pavlovich, as the co-main event for the interim championship title. Aspinall didn’t waste any time when the fight began, he was straight in there – attacking his opponent from the off. It was only 1:07 when Aspinall had his opponent on the floor, and two seconds later the referee called the fight as a KO. Round 1, 1:09. The elated Aspinall couldn’t believe what he’d just accomplished. The humble man from Salford had just become the heavyweight champion. Before getting wrapped up in the celebration, he took a few seconds to himself on the floor – just to take the moment in!
Having been crowned Champion, the Brit left the Octagon and lifted the belt above his head to share his celebration with the 19,000 fans in attendance at the New York City event. The heavyweight star adorns a look of unbridled elation, a moment captured in photo and preserved in this print – now you can own a signed and framed version.
