Max Verstappen’s special edition race suit from the final Dutch Grand Prix weekend has raised £70,000 for Wings for Life following an auction hosted by F1® Authentics.
The 2026 Oracle Red Bull Racing F1® Team suit was worn by Verstappen during the final Dutch Grand Prix weekend at Zandvoort before being personally signed by the four-time World Champion. The auction gave fans and collectors the opportunity to own a piece directly connected to the closing chapter of the Dutch Grand Prix, while raising significant funds for Wings for Life.
The winning-bidder will now get to meet Verstappen and will have the suit personally handed over by the four-time World Champion.
Supporting Wings for Life
Wings for Life is a globally recognised spinal cord research foundation dedicated to finding a cure for spinal cord injury. With 100% of donations funding pioneering research and clinical trials worldwide, bringing hope to millions affected by spinal cord injury and moving us closer to a cure.
The charity was established in 2004 by Dietrich Mateschitz and two-time motocross World Champion Heinz Kinigadner. F1® Authentics has previously supported Wings for Life through auctions in partnership with Max Verstappen and Oracle Red Bull Racing; with previous campaigns including a signed Motion Simulator and race suits from milestone events in Canada and Japan.
The latest auction continued that collaboration, with the £70,000 raised from the Dutch Grand Prix weekend donated towards the charity’s ongoing research.
A Suit for the Ages
The significance of the auction was heightened by the occasion itself, with the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix marking the final running of the event at Zandvoort.
Since the track returned to the Formula 1® calendar in 2021, Verstappen had become synonymous with the event, winning the first three editions in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Those victories came in front of an extraordinary home crowd, with the wall of orange from Verstappen’s Dutch fans becoming one of the defining features of the race.
The special edition suit featured a unique design created to pay homage to Verstappen and his legacy at his home Grand Prix. The design will only be used only once, making the piece intrinsically linked to the final running of the event, made even more special by the autograph applied post-weekend.
The winning bid of £70,000 reflects the significance of the occasion and will now contribute to the charity’s continued work supporting research into spinal cord injury.
“We are incredibly grateful to F1® Authentics, Max, and Oracle Red Bull Racing for their support of this remarkable auction. Raising £70,000 for Max Verstappen’s race weekend-worn suit from the final Dutch Grand Prix is a phenomenal result and will make a huge contribution in spinal cord injury research. As a piece of motorsport history from Max’s home race and the last Formula 1 event at Zandvoort, it was a truly special item. We are proud to have been part of such a successful campaign and look forward to working with F1® Authentics again in the future.”
