Red Bull's 2026 Launch: Detroit and the Czech Stunt

In brief

  • Both Red Bull teams launched 2026 together at Michigan Central Station, Detroit
  • The launch film: an aerobatic champion snatching the car cover off with a stunt plane
  • 1,500 guests, Verstappen and Jim Farley on stage

Both Red Bull teams launched their 2026 season together at Michigan Central Station in Detroit - 1,500 guests, Max Verstappen and Ford's Jim Farley on stage, and the first liveries of the new era on show cars built for the moment.

The launch film went further. At an airfield in the Czech Republic, aerobatic champion Martin Sonka flew 1.5 metres off the ground at 200 km/h and snatched the car's cover off with a hook.

A show car sturdy enough to fly a plane at. That is the specification.
