F1 Arcade Birmingham: The Car on the Ceiling

The show car Formula 1 used to introduce its 2022 regulations at Silverstone now hangs upside down above the Octane Bar at F1 Arcade in Chamberlain Square, Birmingham.

Six hundred kilogrammes of full-size Formula 1 car, inverted, over a room that seats 530 guests and runs 53 full-motion simulators. Suspending it took a bespoke frame rather than anything off a shelf, and it has to be as safe on a wet Tuesday in year three as it was on opening night.
