Remember the Name: Alex Marquez Makes MotoGP™ History in Jerez

Alex Marquez made racing history! At the 2025 Spanish Grand Prix, he took his first MotoGP™ win, ending a run of second-place finishes, and becoming a genuine title contender, all while making history with his brother.

On home soil, in front of a roaring Spanish crowd, Alex Marquez claimed his maiden win in the 500cc classification. Racing for BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP™, the young Spaniard overtook two former world champions in Francesco Bagnaia and Fabio Quartararo, as he took the lead on lap 11 and held off stiff competition until the very end. Not only did the win end his early season heartache where he has finished second three-times, but he also now sits top of the MotoGP™ rider standings ahead of his own brother Marc Marquez

This small detail is a pivotal piece in MotoGP™ history, as the Marquez brothers have become the first siblings ever to both win in the premier class. A moment decades in the making and an achievement which will be written into the MotoGP™ record books forever.

To celebrate Alex’s breakthrough win, MotoGP™ Authentics have launched a new memorabilia collection dedicated to the rising Spanish star.

Included in the collection are leather displays featuring real, precision-cut pieces from Alex’s 2025 race-used leathers, each section unique, each frame a one-off. These premium pieces bring fans closer than ever to the moment Alex crossed the finish line and into the history books. Fans can also get their hands on signed prints from his 2025 season so far.

It’s been a long road to the top for Alex Marquez, full of highs, heartbreaks, and hard-earned podiums. But in Jerez, under the Spanish sun, everything came together.

A first win. A family record. A new chapter.

Relive the moment and celebrate the history by shopping the Alex Marquez collection now at MotoGPAuthentics.com.
